Murf
Beach cruising, California-simple
Murf builds fat-tire electric beach cruisers with a deliberately simple spec — fewer moving parts, less to go wrong, and a riding position built for coastline rather than commuting. If your riding is A1A, the Intracoastal path and the sand between them, this is the shape it should take.
- Best for
- Coastal riders who want a laid-back cruiser and would rather not maintain a drivetrain they never use.
- Range
- 5 models — we can order any of them
Simple is a specification
Most e-bikes arrive with a derailleur, a cassette, a hanger and eight gears you will use two of. Every one of those is a part that goes out of adjustment, gets knocked in a car rack, or seizes in salt air. On the Florida coast, salt air is not a hypothetical.
Murf’s answer is to remove most of it. Fewer components means fewer service visits, which is a strange thing for a service department to advocate, but we would rather sell you the right bike than see you every eight weeks.
Built for exactly our conditions
Southern California and South Florida ask the same things of a bike: sand, salt, heat, and long flat distances at unhurried speeds. Murf is designed around that brief rather than adapted to it. The fat tires are not a styling choice — they are what lets you ride off the path and onto the hard-packed sand without immediately regretting it.
Where it is not the right answer
If you are climbing bridges into a headwind every day, or genuinely replacing a car commute, one of our geared bikes will serve you better and we will tell you so. Murf is a specialist, and it is superb inside its specialism.

Fat tire step-through
Higgs ST
Murf's lightest and most versatile fat-tire bike, on a step-through frame. The one we would put most coastal riders on — easy to mount, easy to live with, and built for salt air.
- Step-through frame — easy on, easy off
- Fat tires for sand, shell and boardwalk
- The most versatile bike Murf makes
Cruiser
Gigi
A classic cruiser shape with modern performance underneath. The prettiest bike Murf makes and the one that looks most at home parked outside a café in Delray.
- Classic cruiser lines, modern components
- Relaxed, upright, unhurried
- The Murf people buy on looks, and do not regret
Speed step-through
Alpha ST
Murf's sleekest frame, built for speed and distance rather than pottering. Step-through, but aimed at riders covering real miles.
- Built for distance and pace
- Step-through frame despite the sporting brief
- The fastest thing Murf makes
Fat tire passenger
Higgs Plus
The Higgs built for two — a longer frame and a rear deck rated to carry a passenger. For couples who would rather take one bike than two.
- Rated to carry a second rider
- Longer wheelbase, more stable under load
- Fat tires and a comfortable, relaxed position
Cargo
Higgs Cargo
The Higgs set up to haul. Same salt-tolerant simplicity, with a frame and rear deck built around carrying weight rather than tolerating it.
- Built for cargo, not adapted for it
- Frame and brakes specified for a loaded bike
- The Murf that genuinely replaces car trips

Ride a Murf — and then ride something else
The most useful test ride is a comparison. Try this brand against the one you were not considering; that is usually where the decision actually gets made.
