Meelod

Retro looks, modern everything else

Meelod builds vintage-styled electric bikes — the moped-meets-cruiser look, done with real attention to the details that usually give the style away. They get noticed. That is largely the point, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Best for
Riders who want the bike to look like something, not just do something.
Range
9 models — we can order any of them
  • Vintage moped styling with modern components underneath
  • Fat tires — comfortable on sand-dusted A1A shoulders and boardwalks
  • The most-photographed bikes on our floor
  • Distinctive enough that you will not see yours coming the other way

Buying a bike for how it looks is allowed

Every shop pretends the decision is about torque figures and watt-hours. In practice a good number of people buy the bike that makes them want to go outside, and that is a completely rational basis for the purchase. A bike you are pleased to be seen on is a bike you ride.

Meelod leans all the way into that. Sprung saddles, swept bars, deep paint, and a silhouette borrowed from a 1950s moped. Parked outside a café in Delray it does not look like transportation, it looks like a decision you made on purpose.

Under the retro bodywork

The styling is the headline; the mechanicals are conventional in the way you want them to be. Fat tires soak up the boardwalk. The step-through geometry is friendlier than it appears. Nothing here is exotic enough to be a problem to service, which — given we are the ones who would be servicing it — is a feature we care about a great deal.

Worth knowing before you buy one

These bikes are heavier than they look and they attract attention when parked. Both are worth a short conversation before you commit, and both are easier to judge sitting on one than reading about one. Come and take a look.
